Kashmere is a sharp, upstanding doe kid I purchased from the Critter Croft herd in Allegan, Michigan. I had admired her mother while dropping off a doe to be bred earlier this year - so when I was offered the opportunity to purchase a doe kid out of Karree I jumped at the chance. It proved to be a "winning decision" as Kashmere went Reserve Grand at the L.E.G.S. show in Muskegon, Michigan under Dan Laney, and beating out a competitive class of Oberhaslis' in the A.O.P class. A few weeks later Kashmere continued that streak and went Grand Champion at the Northern Indiana Classic Dairy Goat Show. Kashmere took a respectable 3rd at Michigan State Fair, again standing amongst very competitive animals. Kashmere and her full sister, Critter Croft's Daisy Mae, also went on to take 3rd in Produce of Dam behind two sets of milkers.   A big thanks goes out to the Engelsman family for allowing the purchase of this lovely young doe - we can hardly wait to see what the future holds! Kashmere will be bred to Irish Whisper Willy Wonka in December.

Holy escutcheons! Here's a doe we are super-excited about, while we weren't planning on adding another Jr. doe to the herd, we just couldn't pass her up. Echo caught our eye on a visit to Irish Whisper to pick up Willy Wonka.  We were smitten with her right away, and Sue & Maddie were kind enough to let us add this little doll to our herd. She really is quite the looker - being long, level, deep and black as coal- you really can't help but to sit up and take notice of her.

We're breeding Echo to Willie Wonka for March kids.  She'll be a first-freshening two year old, and if she's anything like all of the other Cain daughters, her mammary system will be gorgeous; plus, she's got one of those Sidekick style bodies, and we feel these kids should be the absolute best of both worlds!

The classy little doe kid has her mothers long, sturdy build conformation - with touch of refinement thanks to Dad, Critter Croft's GM Lone Dancer. Calla-Fornia has been bred to Cash for March kids, and we're sure expecting exceptional kids!

We just plain lucked out when it comes to this doe kid. She came to us in utero last spring, and made her debut into the world in July of 2007. She was a striking kid right off the bat, one of those that make you think "Oh yeah, we're keeping this one".  Well, little did we know how truly special this doe would soon become. It wasn't too long before we found out that Forbidden's great grandma, ARMCH Rosasharn's Buckwheat Honey, won the 2007 AGS National Champion Sr. Doe & Best Udder!

Forbidden doesn't know that she comes from royalty - she fully plans on making her own waves in the dry yearling ring this spring. Forbidden is petite like her mom, but excels her mother in rear leg angulations and depth of body. While she is currently a little less mature looking than our other two dry yearlings, we have no doubt that she will grow into that very dairy skin of hers - then WATCH OUT!

Glory Bean is not only a personal favorite of ours, but she is the one kid that everyone simply adores. It's doesn't hurt that she's super flashy black and white, but she's inherited her mother's easy going personality and rock solid conformation.  Glory is a Willy daughter, and so far. is every bit what we expected. Glory, is wide, deep, and quite mature for her age. Glory has been bred to Cash for March 20th babies. This should an exciting cross, for milk and show.

It really hit me the other day just how nice this doe is, it was after Marc said, "You know, Vogue is really a beautiful goat". Coming from Marc, that's saying something. Truth is, she is exactly what we are striving for. A big dairy goat body in a tiny goat package. Her body is so much like her mom's, if not a little better blended than Vanity's. She is so long and dairy - even as a small kid, she had it, and she knew it! We are going to punt, and breed Vogue to Cash for a March freshening. These kids should be fierce, blending drop dead gorgeous bodies and those udders that the Sugar Creek lines are so known for producing.
